It's never too late to be what you might have been!
It's never too late to be what you might have been

I never thought it would be so soon when my birthday cake was going to look like a fire. The moment arrived last weekend that I was celebrating in advance. The good thing is that I could realize that my lungs are in excellent condition and I was able to blow the 33 candles.

For me every birthday is special and important because it allows me to see how much I have grown as a human being, how my life has changed, what lessons I have received, what I have learned from them and who are the people close to me. The latter are also changing due to different factors, and it is in the celebrations of each year that I find it more noticeable who has left, who has arrived, who has returned and who has remained by my side.

Something extremely valuable that I have learned is that over time the people we choose to celebrate are becoming less and less, because what matters is the quality of the relationships we forge and not quantity. I have realized that it is more important to be surrounded by people whom I love and for whom I also feel loved, with whom I can be myself, who fill me with joy and make me laugh. It would seem logical, but many times we lose the perspective that this is the most precious thing we can have.

Particularly this year I am immensely grateful for all that I have experienced, including the proofs that continue to show me how strong I am. But above all I thank God for blessing me with the parents that He has given me and because this year my relationship with each of them has strengthened.

Now I should make this new year of life a better one than the previous ones.
