Wiesbaden es la capital de Hessen, uno de los estados federados de Alemania. Es una ciudad pequeña, pero súper bonita. Está ubicada a orillas del río Rhein (Rín en español). Yo no me acostumbro a usar los nombres en español, porque todos los aprendí en alemán en la escuela. Es más, hay muchos que ni siquiera sé cuál es la traducción. Ese fue un pequeño anuncio, jajaja.
A orillas del Rhein está el castillo de Biebrich, que ya les compartí en el post “Otoño”. ¡Es precioso! Algo que me encanta es lo característico de los árboles a lo largo del río, sin importar desde qué ciudad se vea. El Rhein recorre muchas ciudades de Alemania. De hecho, es 14º río más largo de Europa.
Además, en Wiesbaden se encuentra Kurhaus, que es un centro de convenciones y un casino. Ahí se celebran grandes galas como la de SIDA, fiestas privadas, conciertos, entre otros eventos.
El centro de la ciudad cuenta que un área peatonal, donde se ubica el mercado de Navidad (Weihnachtsmarkt). Tiene muchas tiendas, restaurantes y bares. Es uno de mis lugares favoritos para ir a caminar. Cada vez me voy orientando más, porque es medio laberinto, jajaja. En una de las entradas está su iglesia neo-gótica en ladrillo rojizo. También en esa zona se encuentra el teatro.
La ciudad tiene un parque con un estanque. En verano, la gente se pone su calzoneta y va a tomar el sol. Eso es típico en Europa. Sólo sale el sol y las personas buscan cualquier lugar con grama para irse a broncear.

Something I love is the characteristic of the trees along the river, no matter from what city you see it. The Rhein goes through many cities in Germany. In fact, it is the 14th longest river in Europe.
In addition, in Wiesbaden there is Kurhaus, which is a convention center and a casino. There they celebrate great galas like the one for AIDS, private parties, concerts, among other events.
The center of the city has a pedestrian area, where the Christmas market is located. It has many shops, restaurants and bars. It is one of my favorite places to go for a walk. Each time I’m more oriented, because it feels like a maze, hahaha. In one of the entrances is his red, neo-Gothic church. Also in that area is the theater.
The city has a park with a pond. In summer, people put on their swimsuit and go to sunbathe. That is typical in Europe. The sun appears and people look for any place with grass to go tanning.
