As many of you already know from my social networks, I left El Salvador last Thursday to come to Germany. So, this is my first post from here. I’m so excited!
I wanted to write this post before leaving my home, but with all that I had to do, there was not enough time. Sorry, because I know that you have questions about the future of my blog and my presence on social networks. Some of you are afraid that I’m going to shut it down.
First of all, the blog will continue as long as possible. I still have many looks from El Salvador that I’ll be posting during the next weeks. And once they are over, I’ll figure something out, hahaha. Don’t worry! There’s still a lot of SoniaValdes.com to share 🙂
Now, why am I in Germany? If have read my bio, you know that I studied in the German School in San Salvador. Since I graduated from University, it’s been my dream to come here to study a master degree. But things didn’t work out 6 years ago. The truth is I wasn’t ready. Last year I applied to a «Master Of Arts in International Media Studies«. I couldn’t even believe that it existed. It was just what I dreamed about since I love media. I did all the process and I was blessed with a full scholarship. I’m going to study in the Deutsche Welle Akademie in Bonn. Deutsche Welle is the largest news channel in Germany and it has presence in the whole World. It is kind of CNN in the USA. You can’t even imagine how happy I am. It is a dream come true! I’ll be sharing with you how it goes 🙂
This is bittersweet because it’s hard to say goodbye and the blog was growing a lot in El Salvador. But I know that this will be a great change and it will bring more diversity to the blog.
I want to thank all the people that supported my project in El Salvador. Every one of you who read it and who shared your opinions about my posts. Thank you to all my sponsors, who believed in me and in the work I was doing with their brands. Your support was priceless.
Special thanks to all the staff of OPI San Salvador and Soho Salon. Jorge, thank you for supporting me from the first time I contacted you. The attention and kindness of the girls working for you is a reflection of the great boss that you are. You’re such a great team!

I made really good friends and I met wonderful people during the last 2 years. You’ll always be in my heart.
El Salvador, this is not a goodbye, this is a «see you soon». Now I’m ready to start a new chapter in my life. Hallo Deutschland!

Como muchos de ustedes ya saben por mis redes sociales, me fui de El Salvador el jueves pasado para venir a Alemania. Así que este es mi primer post desde aquí. Estoy tan emocionada!
Quería escribir este post antes de irme, pero con todo lo que tenía que hacer, no había tiempo suficiente. Lo siento, porque sé que tienen preguntas sobre el futuro de mi blog y mi presencia en las redes sociales. Algunos de ustedes tienen miedo de que voy a cerrarlo.
En primer lugar, el blog continuará el mayor tiempo posible. Todavía tengo muchos looks de El Salvador que voy a publicar en las próximas semanas. Y una vez que terminen, se me ocurrirá algo, jajaja. ¡No se preocupen! Todavía hay mucho de SoniaValdes.com por compartir 🙂
Ahora, ¿por qué estoy en Alemania? Si han leído mi biografía, ya saben que estudié en la Escuela Alemana de San Salvador. Desde que me gradué de la Universidad, ha sido mi sueño venir aquí a estudiar una maestría. Pero las cosas no se dieron hace 6 años. La verdad es que no estaba lista. El año pasado apliqué a un «Master Of Arts in International Media Studies«. Ni siquiera podía creer que existiera. Era justo lo que había soñado, ya que amo los medios. Hice todo el proceso y fui bendecida con una beca completa. Voy a estudiar en la Deutsche Welle Akademie en Bonn. La Deutsche Welle es el canal de noticias más grande de Alemania y tiene presencia en todo el mundo. Es parecido a CNN en Estados Unidos. No se pueden imaginar lo feliz que estoy. ¡Es un sueño hecho realidad! Voy a compartir con ustedes cómo me va 🙂
Esto es agridulce, porque es difícil decir adiós y el blog estaba creciendo mucho en El Salvador. Pero sé que éste será un gran cambio y que traerá una mayor diversidad al blog.
Quiero agradecer a todas las personas que apoyaron mi proyecto en El Salvador. Cada uno de ustedes que lo leyó y que compartió sus opiniones acerca de mis posts. Gracias a todos mis patrocinadores, que creyeron en mí y en el trabajo que estaba haciendo con sus marcas. Su apoyo fue invaluable.

El Salvador, esto no es un adiós, es un hasta pronto. Ahora estoy lista para comenzar un nuevo capítulo en mi vida. Hallo Deutschland!
